Job Title: Field Agronomist
Purpose of the role:
Key responsibilities
Working with Farmers and 2nd Tier Agrovets providing agronomic advice on ALL RS products
Consideration to regional market requirements.
Creating awareness of new product varieties (not in current portfolio) in to the specified regional markets and further communication to 2nd Tier Agrovets reference planned field days.
2nd Tier Agrovet counter selling and gathering farmer contacts and market intelligence
Van selling with key Agrovets to gather 2nd Tier information
Offer Agronomic support to farmers. This includes new farmers, existing farmers and those growing RS product for the first time.
Follow up with the farmers on a continuous basis. Daily reporting on farm visits to be sent to the Sales Agronomist on Teams.
Organizing Key farmer visits to active fields during the growing period and during harvest period.
Ensuring adoption of product variety for subsequent plantings by the farmer and farmers in the region.
Partner with other stakeholders (Chemical/Fertilizer/Soil Companies)
Provide the Sales Department (Customer Service) with all farmer and 2nd Tier Agrovet contacts in the region as and when received.
Ensure continuous sales to 2nd Tiers from Mds
Perform other tasks as required.
